Here you will find some quick tips for starting your business on My Job Mate, it is very simple to use, but also a very powerful platform to run a trade business of any size.
Once the trial has started where is the best place to start?
If you have regular customers, start by adding them to the client list, that way when you start adding quotes the client info can be imported across to the quote to save time. Next step would be adding team members and jobs if you already have them lined up.
What’s the next step?
There is so many features it is really up to you, once the clients and team members are added, you can add them to the jobs you create, set charge out rates. If you have a bit of stock on hand, it’s a great idea to add that in because as you use the stock you can charge it straight to the job, we also have in app help and instructions to help you get started.
How does the takeoff tool work?
To use the takeoff tool you upload the plans then you have 2 options, you can mark out plans for measurements, areas, count etc. or you can have AI analyse the plan for a specific question such as, calculate floor area in m2 and describe floor finishes .
How does it keep track of job costings?
Job costings are kept and calculated per job, you enter charge out rates which multiply by the hours for that job, then you add in products used and other expenses as you go to track your jobs total expenses in real time .
